Questions to Ask Your Supplier
When you are considering choosing a new gas supplier, there are certain questions you should ask. Here are some suggested questions:
- Is the supplier licensed by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission?
- How long has the supplier been in business?
- How many customers does the supplier have?
- What is the total price per Mcf?
- Is the supplier offering any other incentives?
- How long is their rate in effect?
- What is the length of the contract?
- Is there a penalty if you wish to switch suppliers?
- Will the supplier bill you directly or will they have Equitable Gas bill you (two bills vs. one bill)?
- If the supplier will bill you directly, do they offer payment options like a budget plan, automatic payment, etc.?
- Does the supplier have a local or toll-free number so you can contact them with questions?
